First there was Spygate, then PracticeGate, now OxyGate?
New England offensive lineman Nick Kaczur was reportedly arrested April 27th for possession of the painkilling drug Oxycontin, the Boston Globe reports. Allegedly, Kaczur worked out a deal with the D.E.A to set up a sting on the supplier of the drug. Kaczur denied that allegation.
As we ALL know by now, Kaczur, and the rest of his teammates, are still facing heat from last year’s Spygate fiasco.
On Monday, the Pats signed Oliver Ross, who plays the same position as Kaczur. That could have been in anticipation of this story leaking and subsequently Kaczur being punished for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, but that’s speculation for now.
