Well, it was a long time coming, but the NFL’s single season sack leader has decided to call it a career.

According to a report by FoxSports, Michael Strahan will retire from the NFL after 15 seasons and 141.5 sacks. Like previously mentioned, Strahan set the single season sack record, with 22.5 sacks, against his buddy Brett Favre, who could enter the Hall Of Fame on the same ballot as Strahan.

Strahan told teammates in the months leading up that he’s 60/40 to retire and it was just a matter of time. After he got his championship last season, Strahan’s career was fulfilled. Strahan was also the longest tenured Giant in the team’s rich history.

Justin Tuck has some big shoes to fill now.
