in Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints

Here we go, Wednesday 6/11 Quick Update:

-Jason Peters, Buffalo’s Pro Bowl guard, wants a new contract, and like Plaxico Burress, he won’t show up to the team’s practices. Though, the team will start fining him for each no show. Peters missed the start of the Bills mandatory 3-day camp today.

-Taking a page out of Brett Favre’s playbook, Ravens future Hall Of Fame tackle Jonathan Ogden has flip-flopped on the retirement issue, but has finally made up his mind, and will formally retire Thursday. Ogden has been bothered by a toe injury for the past couple of seasons and he finally calls it quits. He had a 12 year tenure, and 11 Pro Bowls, with the Ravens.

-The New Orleans Saints have agreed to an extension with Pro Bowl DE Will Smith. The extension is worth $70 million over 6 years, with $26 million guaranteed. This makes Smith one of the NFL’s richest players, and top 3 at his position. In his Pro Bowl season in 2006, Smith had 66 tackles and 7 sacks.

3 at a time. Baby steps. Until next time (tomorrow).
