The Bears are finally realizing that they have to keep their performing veterans happy. They don’t want holdouts like Brian Urlacher and Tommie Harris. With that said, the Bears have re-signed Harris to a 4 year/$40 million dollar deal, making him the richest DT in the NFL. The extension runs good thru 2012.
Harris is widely considered in league circles as the best pure 4-3 DT, so his payday is justified. One down, one to go.
