After coming back to Tennessee, trying to resurrect his career after it went dormant in Philly, Titans DE Jevon Kearse didn’t need this roadblock. ESPN is reporting that Kearse was arrested this morning on DUI charges. He was stopped by a traffic light by the Vanderbilt campus. According to the report, he took a sobriety test, but refused a breathalyzer. It was then that he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

“The Freak” shouldn’t be looking at much, if any, punishment, though he has to be careful. He’s not a young pup anymore and the days of him being a game-changing defensive end are over. Also, Kearse now plays for Jeff Fisher, a no nonsense coach, as opposed to the more lax Andy Reid, though Kearse probably knows that.
