  • Free agent offensive lineman Barry Sims finally has a new home, the San Francisco 49ers, as they signed him to a 2 year deal today. Sims doesn’t have much left, but provides solid depth and is an injury replacement if necessary. He has a chance to start on the 49er’s line.
  • According to SI.com, Giants retiree Michael Strahan won’t be away from football long, as he will join FOX’s NFL show, in studio. He’s a funny dude, so he should be a good fit on the more “layed back” NFL show.
  • After earlier off-season speculation that free agent QB Daunte Culpepper to the Packers stood a good chance of becoming reality, today he put that to rest. Culpepper turned down a 1 year/$1 million deal, though he is reportedly in talks with a couple of teams.

Ahh, the offseason is picking up nicely, as training camp schedules were made public recently. You can find them here. It’s only a matter of time now before we bring you the training camp reports and the results of preseason games.
