Turns out I was lying before when I said the Giants news extravaganza was over. In addition to the news of Jacob’s soon-to be contract extension and Shockey’s security with the team, the team also released their PSL plan for their next co-hosted stadium, due to open in 2010.
According to the Newark Star Ledger, they will charge the season ticket holdersĀ $1000-$20,000 for the right to keep their seats. Every seat in the 82,500 seat, $1.6 billion dollar New Meadowlands will have a PSL attached to it. The PSL’s also grant first dibs on the seats, but will have to purchase tickets for the 10 home games first. This is not widely supported around the league, where other owners like Robert Kraft funded his stadium with sponsors, instead of the money of paying season ticket holders. Their roommates, the Jets, have not announced whether they will employ the same licenses.
Stay tuned for more news from the Super Bowl champs.
