Remember Kevin Jones? The ex-Detroit Lion RB? Former first-round pick deemed bust?
Well, due to the nagging injury bug, he never lived up to his full potential and then Detroit released him. Now, he’s cutting, running, and showcasing his skills, as 4 teams attended a special workout of his today. Representatives from Miami, Green Bay, Pittsburgh and even Detroit were on hand. Cleveland also sent in a request for a copy of the video of his workout. According to his agent, and take this with a grain of salt, the teams were “amazed” with what Jones did today and is confident he has a bright future in the NFL. Jones joins Shaun Alexander, Ron Dayne, Travis Henry, and Cedric Benson as free-agent running backs vying for a job.
