After already being arrested once this off-season for marijuana possession, Patriots cornerback Willie Andrews had the cuffs slapped on him again today.
According to WBZ in Boston, Andrews allegedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend’s head after she accused him of cheating on her. Police say they received a call around 1:30 AM Saturday morning from a woman, claiming to be the girlfriend of Willie Andrews. She said he pointed a gun at her head during an argument. When police arrived at Andrews’ home, they placed him under arrest for “assault by means of a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.” Police uncovered a .45 caliber handgun near a dumpster, presumably Andrews’.
Real nice, Willie. After his initial arrest, Andrews stood a long shot to make the team, considering coach Bill Belichick’s penchant for players who stay out of trouble. Now, it’s almost assured that he will be off the team, and even punished by Roger Goodell, shortly.
