Tony Gonzalez saves a life

File this under the unusual news of the day.

According to several reports, Chiefs TE and future Hall of Famer, Tony Gonzalez, saved a man from choking by using the Heimlich Maneuver.

Gonzalez was reportedly out to eat with his wife, brother, and daughter, when Ken Hunter started choking on a piece of meat a few tables over. That’s when Gonzalez stepped in and saved the man’s life by executing the Heimlich. After the meat was dislodged from the man’s throat, Hunter went up to Gonzalez and thanked him. The irony here? Hunter’s a lifelong fan of the Chargers.

Tony Gonzalez, a modern day hero.
