Vikings caught tampering with Favre

Favre Watch™, now a couple of weeks into its shenanigans, has taken a dramatic twist today as the Vikings have reportedly been charged with tampering with the Packers QB. According to a source, the league is still gathering all the information regarding this allegation, but if true, the Vikings could be facing a fine and/or a loss of draft picks.

The report states that Vikings offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell, who is a close friend to Favre’s, had inappropriate dialogue with Favre, which violates the rules because Favre is still technically a member of the Green Bay Packers, even if he has demanded a release. The Vikings deny the tampering allegations while the Packers are trying their hardest to help the NFL charge the Vikes with the offense.

It’s obvious as to why Green Bay wants the tampering charges to stick. Aside from the possible draft pick(s), they’d receive, it’s been reported that Packers GM Ted Thompson does not want Favre to land with the Vikings and prefer, if anywhere, he goes to an AFC team. His point is valid, they don’t want to play Favre twice a year, imagine the motivation.

As said in every Favre update, stay tuned and keep checking back for updates because this sure as heck won’t be the last one.
