After an off-season of on and off holdouts, Ocho Cinco says he will report on-time to the Bengals training camp, which opens next weekend. The only downside to this is Johnson’s surgically repaired ankle, which will prevent him from fully participating. Johnson also said that he wants to put his other escapades behind him and move on, calling it a “situation that he was going through” and claims he’s “back”.
CJ needs to develop more of a rapport with his QB, Carson Palmer, during camp, and cut down the miscommunication/shouting matches, as evidenced last year. Still, he’s a Pro Bowl talent and some camp practice isn’t worth the risk of him reaggravating his injury. He’ll put up his usual All-Pro numbers if he recovers nicely.
