After months of teetering speculation that WR Eric Parker was on the chopping block, the Chargers made it official today and released the 29 year-old receiver. While teams have shown interest in Parker, they are weary because of his propensity for injuries, including a calf injury that lingered all of last season.
Still, he is a relatively young wide-out that could help some teams as a slot man and on special teams. He’ll probably sign on somewhere soon, as the Browns, Jets, Raiders, Dolphins, among others, have given him a look.
