As if there weren’t enough storylines behind the possible comeback/trade/release/tampering of Brett Favre, now the commish is monitoring the situation closely to see where Favre ends up. According to people with knowledge of the situation, Goodell has spoken with Packers management due to the dramatics Favre is causing them and the entire league.
Reportedly, Goodell also encouraged Packers brass to scour the league to find a possible suitor for Favre in an effort to expedite things, and Tampa Bay still remains the favorite to land the future Hall of Fame QB. The Jets, Ravens, Dolphins, Vikings, Redskins, among others, also remain interested, but the amount of interest varies.
