Continuing on with the rookie signings, the 49ers and 29th overall pick DE Kentwan Balmer have agreed to a five-year deal, worth $11 million, including $6 million guaranteed. Balmer figures to play left end in San Fran’s 3-4 scheme, and so far coaches are impressed with his work ethic.
The former UNC Tar Heel earned second-team All-ACC rights last year, registering 59 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
