Brett Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, has said that a deal with the Bucs is close to materializing and could be done soon. This was reported on NFL Network.
Now we all know that this story has flip-flopped about 100 times already, but if it’s coming from his agent, it’s gotta be atleast semi reliable.
It also appears as if the Jets just got played hard. Favre’s “interest” in playing in NY was simply used as a bargaining tool used to get Tampa to drive their offer up, since it was reported that the Jets had the better offer.
