AFC
1. Tennessee Titans - They get the top seed via the strength of victory tiebreaker over the Bills (SOV is the winning percentage of teams beaten)
2. Buffalo Bills
3. Pittsburgh Steelers - 3rd seed over the Broncos due to a better conference record
4. Denver Broncos
5. New England Patriots - I’m sure the Pats haters won’t like seeing them in here, but they’re the top wildcard team by strength of victory
6. Baltimore Ravens
NFC
1. New York Giants
2. Carolina Panthers – They win the NFC South over the Bucs due to division record
3. Arizona Cardinals – 3rd seed over the Pack due to strength of victory (yes, really)
4. Green Bay Packers
5. Washington Redskins - Head-to-head over the Cowboys nets them the WC spot and a better strength of victory than the Bucs
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - They get the last WC spot over the Cowboys due to conference record
Top 5 Picks in the 2009 Draft
1 (tie). Cincinnati Bengals – coin flip with Rams
1 (tie). St. Louis Rams - coin flip with Bengals
3. Detroit Lions – lower strength of schedule than Texans
4. Houston Texans
5 (tie). Kansas City Chiefs – coin flip with Browns
5 (tie). Cleveland Browns – coin flip with Chiefs
The Raiders and Vikings share the same record as the Chiefs and Browns, but have played tougher schedules.
