Speaking on the Mike & Mike show, current Jets ILB Bart Scott (and former teammate of Thomas’) says that, during the Super Bowl weekend festivities, Thomas expressed that he’d like to re-unite with his former defensive coordinator.
Though Thomas is getting long in the tooth, and hasn’t shown much since being signed by the Patriots, if there’s anyone that would get something out of him it’s Ryan, with his creative blitz packages and exotic defenses.
Will Belichick dump the player that was in his doghouse all of last season or will his ego want to prevent Thomas from going to the team he hates the most? This will be an interesting situation to follow.
