The first trade of the 2010 season is in.
The Jets and Chargers have agreed to a deal that would send CB Antonio Cromartie to New York in exchange for a conditional 3rd round pick in the 2011 draft. The pick could become a 2nd rounder based on play time and performance.
It’s telling that Cromartie was let go for this cheap, but Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum pulled off a steal here. Getting a solid #2 corner to pair with the best in the NFL will make the league’s top rated pass defense even better.
