Well, it looks as if there won’t be T.O. in Cincy after all.
Free-agent WR Antonio Bryant will be a Cincinnati Bengal next season, as the team has come to terms on a four-year deal with the former Tampa Bay Buc. Ravens insider Aaron Wilson and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter both confirm the report.
The Bengals are starved for a receiver opposite Chad Ochocinco, linking themselves to Owens and Bryant recently. They got one of their choices, and there’s no doubt that signing the 29-year old Bryant was more logical than the 36-year old Owens. If Bryant can avoid the same injuries that plagued him throughout last season, this was a very solid signing.
UPDATE: The Cincinnati Enquirer states the four-year deal is worth $28 million.
