in Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles

Both of these reports are courtesy of Adam Schefter:

  • CB Nathan Vasher was cut by the Bears this afternoon. Vasher, who once was viewed as one of the premier corners in the league, was never going to see the $3 million he was due. Still only 29 years old, Vasher should get some looks on the free-agent market.
  • The Eagles have decided to part ways with offensive lineman Shawn Andrews. A former All-Pro and Pro Bowler, Andrews has battled back injuries and depression so Philly decided to pull the trigger and cut ties early on. He is almost sure to get looks by other teams but there is definitely buyer beware with Andrews.
