Joe Montana thinks Brett Favre will come back for another season

ESPN has a nice piece up about one QB legend touching on a fellow legend’s chances of playing next season. That would be Joe Montana talking about Brett Favre, and if he’ll return to Minnesota for another season.

Here is an excerpt from the article, which you can read here:

“He says he’s not sure [about playing] because he doesn’t want to go to training camp. He’s smart,” Montana said. “I’m sure he already has that agreement with them. Nine chances out of 10 they already know and they’ve already had this whole conversation and they should just let everybody know because they know he’s going to come back.

While it’s nice to get Montana’s perspective, the truth is no one really knows what Brett Favre will do next. Not the Vikings, not his agent, not his wife, only Favre himself. As usual, I’m not holding my breath on him making a decision quickly; at least not for a couple of months and probably longer. Favre Watch 2010 is still on.
