Pittsburgh has retained its long-time backup.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers have re-signed quarterback Charlie Batch to a two-year deal.
Nothing major at all, but very good insurance for the team should Big Ben’s situation get worse. Batch knows the system inside and out and has proven capable of stepping in if the need should arise.
Is it just me or does it feel like Batch’s been in the league for about twenty years or so?
