They’ve already signed one back this offseason to compete with Clinton Portis, today the ‘Skins have added another.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Redskins and Willie Parker have agreed to terms on one-year contract that holds a max value of $3.1 million.
Mike Shanahan is obviously aiming for competition between Portis, LJ, and now Parker to be the starting tailback. The 29-year old former Steeler is far from a lock to make the active roster come September, let alone win the starting job. But Shanny has been known to work wonders with his infamous zone-blocking scheme… so who knows, maybe Parker has a career year in 2010? Wouldn’t hold my breath on that, though.
