Well, this came out of nowhere.
According to Adam Schefter, the Eagles have agreed to trade quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins.
More details as they come…
UPDATE: Philly receives a 2nd-round pick (37th overall) and either a 3rd or 4th next year depending on “certain conditions“.
For Washington, they’ve finally added a legit QB, at a great price, and look to make a serious playoff push under Shanahan. Devin Thomas instantly becomes a sleeper at WR and McNabb’s presence will open up the running game for their multitude of backs.
The Eagles, on the other hand, get the compensation they were looking for. However, trading their five-time Pro Bowler to a bitter division rival is a bit of a head-scratcher. Nevertheless, they still have a bunch of firepower on offense so let the Kevin Kolb era officially begin.
