in Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, NFL Draft, St. Louis Rams

The truly great thing about this year’s draft is the second-round possibly is as loaded with talent as the first. That means picks come at a premium; especially St. Louis’ second-round choice, number 33 overall.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote on his Twitter that Buffalo and Cleveland have contacted the Rams about their second-round pick, presumably to nab QB’s Jimmy Clausen or Colt McCoy.

Both teams need quarterbacks badly. The Bills can’t be satisfied with the combination of Brian Brohm, Trent Edwards, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. For Cleveland, even with Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace on-board, they’d be wise to come out of today with a potential franchise QB.

There might be more competition for McCoy, however, as late last night it was reported the Panthers were considering a trade-up for him. Both prospects are hot commodities at this point and I’d be shocked if they lasted until the third-round.
