Much like what the Buccaneers are doing, Jacksonville is looking to get younger on the defensive line.
Today, the Jaguars are expected to release Pro Bowl defensive tackle John Henderson; who had $11 million over two years left on his contract. Obviously, the Jags don’t want to pay that kind of money to a 31-year old.
Henderson’s been with the team since they drafted him in 2002. He’s earned two Pro Bowl berths and one All-Pro honor.
Tyson Alualu, the head-scratching 10th overall pick, and third-rounder D’Anthony Smith will help fill the void following Henderson’s departure.
