Joey Galloway’s had a long career, one that has spanned 15 seasons.
As of today, he’ll be playing his 16th in 2010.
The Washington Redskins have signed receiver Joey Galloway to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Galloway is familiar with general manager Bruce Allen, as they’ve spent years on the Bucs together (2004-2008).
Galloway, 38, coming off his dismal 2009 campaign — 7 catches, 67, zero touchdowns — looks to compete on an offense loaded with promising young receivers (Malcolm Kelly, Devin Thomas). I don’t think there’s a guarantee that Galloway will even make the team come September; given his age and lack of production.
But the Redskins feel he might provide them with some big play ability; I’ll defer to their judgment as it’s far superior to mine.
