Could Mike Shanahan want to add yet another back to his offense?
Per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Washington Redskins are scheduled to host free-agent RB Brian Westbrook on Wednesday; Mort also states that QB Donovan McNabb has been “pushing” the team to sign his long-time former teammate with the Eagles.
Where would Westbrook possibly fit in? Washington’s already added Larry Johnson and Willie Parker this offseason to go along with presumed starter Clinton Portis.
Should they add him to the mix, it’s doubtful that they’ll carry four (broken down) running backs on the active roster, meaning one would have to go.
