Terrell Owens

Even the teams that need receiver help the most are passing on Terrell Owens, not a good sign for the 36-year old.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns have ruled out signing Owens, even though GM Tom Heckert confirmed they might be interested in adding an experienced, veteran WR.

“That’s not the direction we’re headed,” he said. “There’s a lot of factors that go into that. I think at this stage of his career, this isn’t a place he’d be looking at. We don’t plan on talking to him.”

Owens, coming off a dismal season with the Bills, has many factors working against him, such as age, production, and that diva-like attitude that shadowed him throughout his 14-year career.

While I think T.O. will eventually find work, the question becomes with who? Two teams that have been reported as possible landing spots include Chicago and Jacksonville. Both teams have young receivers that could use a veteran presence like Owens’.
