After failing to reach an agreement on a long-term deal, restricted free-agent OLB Matt Roth wants out of Cleveland, as he asked the team today to trade him. This report comes from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Roth, after finagling his way out of Miami, was claimed off waivers by the Browns on November 25. Roth posted four sacks in his shortened Browns season and figured to be penciled in as a starter for 2010.
However, often injured, I doubt Cleveland’s phones will be ringing off the hook for Roth. In the end, he just might have to sign his tender.
