It came down to NY/NJ vs. Tampa Bay, and it took four ballots, but the winner has finally been announced.
The Big Apple (and Jersey) will see their first-ever Superbowl up close and personal in 2014.
The New Meadowlands, home to the Jets and Giants, will host the Superbowl on February 2, 2014.
What an historic day for the NFL. The precedent set by this announcement could get other cold weather locations on the map to host the Big Game. Washington and Baltimore have already said they’d like to bring the Superbowl to their respective cities.
