Trent Edwards

On the first day of Buffalo Bills organized team activities, Trent Edwards got the nod to open up as the starting quarterback.

Per The Buffalo News, Edwards took “the first snaps in all the sessions” of the practice, and was then followed by last year’s fill-in Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Brohm, and rookie Levi Brown, who closed out the day.

While interesting that Edwards was called upon first, coach Chan Gailey will rotate the QB’s throughout the spring practices, and will most likely hold an open competition during training camp for the starting position.

Because of the lackluster competition facing Edwards, I’m assuming he’ll win said competition and in no time will be slinging interceptions passes week one against Miami.
