Many thought the Baltimore Ravens kicking situation was a mess; Billy Cundiff as your primary, and only, placekicker won’t exactly inspire total confidence. So why not bring in some help? They’re about to do just that.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Ravens are close to a one-year deal with free-agent kicker Shayne Graham.
Graham, a former Pro Bowler, wasn’t brought back by Cincinnati after his awful performance in the playoffs (two misses in the Wild Card round against the Jets). Aside from that little blip, he’s only the fourth most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL.
Graham’s certainly earned a shot with Baltimore to prove himself, not to mention stay in the AFC North and kick against his former team twice in 2010.
