With his feature back title likely gone with the team, running back Marshawn Lynch reportedly arrived in Buffalo last night and could finally show up at the Bills workouts today.
Lynch had been sitting out of the start of voluntary organized team activities, possibly due to the plethora of trade rumors that have surrounded him since the offseason began.
Drafting RB CJ Spiller ninth overall didn’t help his cause either. Although, according to a report, Bills GM Buddy Nix promised he wouldn’t trade him.
Clearly behind Spiller, and possibly Fred Jackson on the depth chart, a third-string role probably wouldn’t sit well with Lynch. His best case scenario is a change of scenery; to a team that will give him a chance to start, or at the very least vie for a bulk of the carries.
UPDATE: Ok, so maybe he’s not showing up to OTAs today.
