Shayne Graham

Yesterday, word spread that kicker Shayne Graham was close to signing a deal with the Baltimore Ravens. One day later, and they’re about to make it official.

According to Adam Schefter, Graham is currently in Baltimore and from all indications is ready to sign a one-year deal with the team.

When he does officially become a Raven, he’ll compete with Billy Cundiff to be the team’s starting placekicker. My money’s easily on Graham to win that battle, barring anything out of the ordinary.

Graham, who spent the last seven seasons with his soon-to-be rival Cincinnati Bengals, connected on 23 field goals out of 28 attempts last season. After a miserable playoff showing, including two shanks against the Jets, he wasn’t re-signed and was given the opportunity to land with another squad.
