Donovan McNabb

After years of mediocre quarterback play, the Washington Redskins made a bold move and dealt for Donovan McNabb. Naturally, they want to make sure he remains in D.C. for the conceivable future.

ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting that McNabb could get rewarded with a contract extension within the next couple of weeks.

As it stands now, McNabb is entering a contract year and the team wouldn’t want him to price himself out of Washington’s price range next year.

Approaching age 34, a two or three-year pact is likely.
