Marc Bulger

For the first time in 10 years, Marc Bulger will put on a different uniform as a quarterback of a team other than the St. Louis Rams.

Baltimore has signed Bulger to a one-year contract, worth $3.8 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Reportedly, another $1.5 million is available should he reach certain incentives.

Bulger, who was waived by the Rams on April 5, should already be penciled in as Joe Flacco’s backup.

While he’s taken his fair share of hits over his ten seasons, Bulger is still only 33-years old and is the perfect veteran depth to have behind a young gunner like Flacco should he miss a game or two. After all, he’s only thrown for over 22,000 yards and 122 touchdowns.

This move likely pushes Troy Smith down to third-string duties at QB, and could spell the end of John Beck.
