The verdict is in for Lions president Tom Lewand.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the league has suspended Lewand for 30 days and fined him $100,000 for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

Lewand was arrested last month for driving drunk and pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired.

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that commissioner Roger Goodell would come down hard on Lewand. With the hefty fine, it should ensure he won’t be a repeat offender and it sets a precedent that it’s not just the players that will be held responsible for their actions.
