A new Brett Favre update! What else did you really expect today?
According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, there has been no decision by Favre on whether to retire or not and he will play for the Vikings this season if he’s healthy. Brett is currently in Hattiesburg, Mississippi playing pitch and catch at a local high-school, which can only be construed as a positive sign that he’s coming back.
Favre has also denied sending text messages announcing his retirement and that money’s not a factor in his decision.
It now looks like there’s no doubt who will be under center for the Vikings this season. As long as that surgically repaired ankle doesn’t cause him any pain, it’s pretty safe to say Favre will be back for his 20th season.
As always, stay tuned for more.
