After limping his way through Superbowl 44 with a bum right ankle, Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney should be totally good to go for the forthcoming season.

The Associated Press is reporting that Freeney hasn’t had any problems with the ankle thus far in training camp and even his coach, Jim Caldwell, sees his patented burst and power regaining form.

Freeney’s injury was classified as a third-degree tear, which occurred in the AFC Championship Game against the Jets.

He tried to play through the Superbowl but was unable to effectively do so. He chose not to have surgery on it, instead opting with intense rehab this offseason. Looks like he made the right call.
