Could there be a breakthrough between Jets holdout cornerback Darrelle Revis and team management?

According to Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News, Revis’ agent, Jon Feinsod, met with general manager Mike Tannenbaum on Friday and presented a contract offer to him. Feinsod is still awaiting a response as Tannenbaum will take the offer to owner Woody Johnson.

HBO cameras, documenting the team for Hard Knocks, wanted to join the two at the diner they met in. Both parties wouldn’t allow it.

“We met with Mike this past Friday in Roscoe, NY at the Roscoe Diner,” Revis’ agent Jonathan Feinsod told The Daily News. “HBO wanted to be there, but we declined. At that meeting, we presented Mike with a proposal to show Mr. Johnson. We are waiting for a response.”

This news comes hours after coach Rex Ryan stated he hasn’t heard from Revis and will move on without him — for now.

“I have no communication there from my end,” Ryan said. “We’ll know at the appropriate time, I guess…We’ve got to prepare like he’s not going to be here. If he comes walking through the door, that’s fine. Somebody will kiss him on the lips probably.”

Revis will lose one year of credited free-agency if he doesn’t report by midnight tomorrow.
