Eli Manning wasn’t the only Giants quarterback to get roughed up in Monday night’s preseason game.

According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Eli’s backup, Jim Sorgi, suffered a shoulder injury in the game and will miss 2-3 weeks of action. Fortunately for him, an MRI revealed that he didn’t aggravate his previous labrum tear, which was a “red flag” for the Giants before they brought him aboard.

Sorgi, the former long-time backup to Peyton Manning, was injured in the third quarter after being leveled by Jets linebacker Lance Laury.

With Manning and now Sorgi both injured, Rhett Bomar gets bumped up the depth chart, as does newly signed QB Dominic Randolph.
