As his Minnesota Vikings are off to a very discouraging 0-2 start, quarterback Brett Favre is now having doubts as to whether his decision to return for another season was the right one.
Per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Favre has second-guessed himself over coming back for a 20th season in the NFL. Mort also states that Favre’s decision would’ve turned out differently if he knew that wide receiver Sidney Rice would miss at least the first game of the season on the PUP list. It’s evident that Favre misses Rice, his go-to guy last season, as he looked out of sync with the rest of the offense in the first two weeks.
Keep in mind he got off to a slow start last season, but there’s a reason Minnesota had to send three players to his house to woo him into returning. Last season was his best chance to win another championship and we all know h0w that turned out.
The Vikings will live and die with Favre this season and if they don’t pull off a win against Detroit today, the criticism and second-guessing will only increase.
