Brett Favre

He might’ve received a new toy this week when his team acquired receiver Randy Moss in a blockbuster trade, but Vikings quarterback Brett Favre could experience some pain when he tries to get him the ball.

According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Favre was limited in practice with tendinitis in his right elbow. Even though Favre practiced in full on Thursday, this has Minnesota beat writers concerned. Favre’s age, 41, is working against him in this case as was his choice to skip all of training camp.

Notorious for getting off to slow starts, the bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for Favre and the Vikings offense, which has looked stagnant through their first three games.

Favre will no doubt start on Monday night against the Jets, but this is something to monitor as he passes the ball, something he should do plenty with Moss as his new primary target.
