Washington has given up on its former second-round pick.
According to Adam Schefter, the Redskins have cut wide receiver Devin Thomas today. The team tried trading Thomas but could find no takers this past week.
Since being chosen 34th overall in the 2008 draft, Thomas has underwhelmed by catching just 40 passes and three touchdowns.
The Michigan State alum would make a good fourth or fifth option for another team.
