The Saints have made two roster moves today.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team has added running back Julius Jones. Jones was cut by the Seattle Seahawks when they traded for Marshawn Lynch one week ago.
New Orleans picks up another insurance back in case starter Pierre Thomas isn’t up to snuff and could significantly reduce the carries that Ladell Betts and Chris Ivory receive going forward.
In other Saints news, they’ve decided to release kicker John Carney, less than a month after re-signing him. New Orleans will stick with Garrett Hartley for the rest of the way.
