Shawne Merriman
“Lights Out” just got shut down.
According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chargers have placed outside linebacker Shawne Merriman on injured reserve, effectively ending his 2010 season.
Merriman has been bothered by a nagging calf injury and couldn’t return to his Pro Bowl form from a couple of years back.
There’s been some talk of San Diego releasing Merriman, so he could’ve played his last down in a Bolts uniform.
