James Harrison isn’t the only one who strongly disagrees with the NFL’s new rule changes that virtually eliminate hard hitting.

Mark Schlereth, who’s a regular on ESPN’s ‘NFL Live’, appeared on SportsCenter yesterday (10/20) and ripped the league a new one over the league’s decision to fine/suspend players for delivering hard hits. That decision was made, of course, after Week 6′s slew of collisions that saw valued players leave with concussions.

Hard to disagree with anything Schlereth’s saying here. It might not be totally professional, and his co-host must have felt incredibly uncomfortable, but he’s 100% spot on with his message. Kudos to him for speaking his mind, regardless of how his viewers/employers viewed it. Those employers might have a chat with him over it, though.

“You take away all the contact, guess what you are. You’re soccer.”

Hilarious.
