Mathias Kiwanuka
Big blow to Big Blue’s defensive line.
According to the Newark Star Ledger, defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka has been placed on the injured reserve list with a herniated disk in his neck. He’s done for the year.
“Kiwi” has been dealing with this issue since Week 3, so the Giants did the right thing by shutting him down and let it heal on its own. Doctors are “very optimistic” he’ll make a full recovery.
Kiwanuka finishes with his 2010 season with four sacks.
